Tony E. Jones, RPh

Tony E. Jones, RPh

Tony E. Jones owned Cornell Pharmacy and then acquired PenCol Specialty Pharmacy in November 2014. At the start of 2016, the Cornell and PenCol locations merged and now operate out of the PenCol location. Tony has a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. While in college, Jones was senior class president at the School of Pharmacy, as well as a research assistant, assisting in research comparing the effects a phenolic hydroxyl group has on P450 oxidation of highly lipophilic aromatic compounds.

Jones, a native of Texas, came to Colorado while in the army. After his four-year military stint, he attended the University of Colorado at Denver before he matriculated from CU- Health Sciences Center in 1995.

Jones is formerly a member of the boards of Rx Plus, a consortium of independent pharmacies, and Cardinal Health, the largest drug wholesale company in the country. He has testified on bills before the Colorado House health committee and has been active in the American Diabetes Association.

His awards and achievements include:

  • Colorado’s Innovative Pharmacist of the Year, 2000;
  • Preceptor of the Year, 2000;
  • Colorado Young Pharmacist of the Year, 1999;
  • Pharmacist of the Month, Rx Pharmacies Plus, 1999;
  • Outstanding Pharmacy Student — Lemmon Corporation 1995;
  • Leadership Award – University of Colorado Health Sciences Center – School of Pharmacy, 1995;
  • Winner of National Award given by AACP for Pharmaceutical Research, 1994.

Our Pharmacists

Valerie Madison, RPh

Valerie Madison, RPh

Valerie Madison has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Drake University. Born and raised in rural Iowa, Valerie’s first encounter with the pharmacy profession came in high school when she began working in her hometown pharmacy. She saw how important a role the pharmacy played in her community and that is where her passion for pharmacy and healthcare began. Her desire to help others understand their medication needs continues today.

Relocating to Denver in 2000, Valerie pursued her career with Cornell. In her role with Cornell, she has worked with a variety of clients and organizations, including the Denver Broncos. Valerie’s passion for pharmacy continues and includes the fine art of compounding. She has attended seminars with Professional Compounding Centers of America, Baxa Laboratories, and ZRT labs. Her specialties are women’s health and veterinary compounding.

Sherree Dismuke, PharmD

Sherree Dismuke, PharmD

A Colorado native, Sherree moved to Denver in 2002. She began her pharmacy career as a technician working in various retail positions before joining the Cornell Pharmacy in 2004. Enjoying the family-oriented environment of independent pharmacy, she began on her path to becoming a pharmacist. Sherree graduated from Regis University in 2013 with a Doctorate in Pharmacy and is now a pharmacist at PenCol Specialty Pharmacy.

Sherree has attended both the Veterinary and HRT symposiums offered by PCCA and is certified in delivering both immunizations and medication therapy management. She is also a member of the American Pharmacist and Colorado Pharmacist Associations.
